Tomorrow, October 24th, the world celebrates United Nations Day. CAPS is very proud to announce that two of our students were finalists in the Curacao United Nations speech competition, hosted annually by Corps Consulaire Curacao. Lily Wilson placed 3rd with her speech about Artificial Intelligence, while Hikam Noureddine won the competition for the second year in a row, with his speech about Peace and Global Citizenship. Frederique Wittens from the International School of Curacao, also presented a rousing speech winning 2nd place. All three students were guided impactfully by Ms. Leticia Wanga representing Toastmasters Curacao. It was a wonderful and inspiring event, and CAPS knows that our students are invested in making positive changes in our community and in the wider world, and it is heartening to see the impact that the children in our schools will have on the world today and in the future. ❤️🇺🇳 www.curacaochronicle.com/post/unknown/corps-consulaire-curacao-un-day-youth-speech-contest-2026
CAPS students and staff were proud to wear pink and blue to acknowledge October as pregnancy and infant loss awareness month and support the "Pink and Blue Curacao" campaign by Our Angels Journey Foundation Curaçao. Students also volunteered this past weekend at Dierenbescherming Curacao to help raise funds and educate visitors.
This week we have been celebrating Siman di Kultura – the cultural heritage of Curacao. Today students and staff wore their Curacao colors with pride. Nos tur ta orguyoso di nos isla bunita. 💙💛🇨🇼
This past weekend we had several of our CAPS students participate in the first Aquathlon of this school year hosted by Tri-Curacao. We were super proud of everyone that took part, and are looking forward to many more sporting events to come. Students already met this week to learn about upcoming tournaments later this fall hosted by Fundashon Desaroyo Deportivo Kòrsou – FDDK, and we hope to have a few teams represented there as well. www.curacaochronicle.com/post/unknown/tri-curacao-kicks-off-new-youth-season-with-successful-back…
