The Curaçao American Preparatory School
(opens in a new tab)CAPS is an accredited, K3 – Grade 12 private, non-profit, English-speaking school on the island of Curacao.
This week we have been celebrating Siman di Kultura – the cultural heritage of Curacao. Today students and staff wore their Curacao colors with pride. Nos tur ta orguyoso di nos isla bunita. 💙💛🇨🇼
This past weekend we had several of our CAPS students participate in the first Aquathlon of this school year hosted by Tri-Curacao. We were super proud of everyone that took part, and are looking forward to many more sporting events to come. Students already met this week to learn about upcoming tournaments later this fall hosted by Fundashon Desaroyo Deportivo Kòrsou – FDDK, and we hope to have a few teams represented there as well. www.curacaochronicle.com/post/unknown/tri-curacao-kicks-off-new-youth-season-with-successful-back…
Today was awesome!!!!! We are SO PROUD to say that all of our students and teachers and several parent volunteers helped to make a difference in our community by participating in Curaçao Clean Up World Cleanup Day and being part of the Green Wave here in Curacao. Students learned about our new recycling initiative and the importance of reducing and properly disposing of our waste. Even our youngest students learned about ways that they can make a difference to keep their environment clean. Sadly, there was a lot of garbage that was collected, but we are proud that we made a difference and hopeful that our school community will spread awareness to others and continue to make positive choices, so that we can make our island dushi and NOT shushi!!!
Looking forward to seeing many CAPS families visit us tomorrow evening for our 2026-2027 Back to School / Meet the Teacher evening!!! 5:30 – 7:00 pm
The 2026-2027 school year at CAPS has now officially begun, since we welcomed our students back to campus today. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces looking forward to the school year ahead. 🥰
