CAPS Sports Day 2025 took place the day before we headed into our Spring Break. A big shout-out to Mr. Luke, who arranged the events, and to the middle school students who supported the elementary games. It was a great example of student leadership in action. All had great fun, and congrats to the White Team who won the CAPS Sports Day Cup!

This past Friday, the Grade 7 Phoenixes, under the guidance of Ms. Mariam, led our Responsibility Assembly. The theme was how we can all be superheroes through consistency, reliability, accountability, trustworthiness, and integrity. Thank you, Grade 7, and a big CAPS shout-out to our award winners!

The theme for World Health Day 2025 is "Healthy beginnings, hopeful futures". This year, the focus is on amplifying efforts to end preventable maternal and newborn deaths, and to prioritize women’s longer-term health and well-being. A big thank you to Dr. Marly Oosterhof from Avalon University School of Medicine, who spoke with CAPS high school students about how this impacts them and what we can do to build awareness. CAPS 3rd and 4th grade students enjoyed a fantastic visit with poet Aline Abdul, who shared her journey as a writer and inspired us with her creative process. She taught us to use the five senses for vivid imagery and to show, not just tell, our ideas. After the workshop, students proudly added their new pieces to their digital portfolios. It was a truly inspiring day!
