Spanish
Core subjects and specials courses are conducted in English, but students also have the opportunity to learn Spanish at CAPS. Most grade levels attend language courses biweekly.
Our language program has two educational tracks: one for native and one for non-native speakers. Each educational track is designed to support learners in world language acquisition at their particular level.
High School Foreign Language Courses
High school students are required to take two foreign language credits and have the option of taking more depending on what their future university may require and where their interests lie.
CAPS high schoolers may take Spanish in-person or opt for an online foreign language course. Online language options currently include American Sign Language, Chinese, French, and Latin. Depending on their individual level and amount of completed courses, students have the option of taking some of these courses at the more challenging honors level.
