The Big Day
On February 12, the parents of the fifth-grade students were invited to school (with masks and standing 2 meters apart) to listen to their student’s writing. On March 10, the sixth-grade students had their celebration.
Behind the Scenes
Throughout the year the students have been busy learning and using the writing process. They learned how to develop ideas, draft, edit, revise, and finally publish. For this particular writing, informational, the students had to choose a topic of interest and learn as much about it as possible. The final results HAD to be celebrated!
The Celebration
Our writing celebration is one of our favorite events of the year! The students work hard in class to go through the writing process to eventually publish their writing. Like true authors, the purpose of publishing is to share your writing with others so that is what we do! We shared topics all about historical events, animals, sports, places in the world, and even important hacks and information about our favorite video games. Parents, teachers, and other students were invited to listen to our writing and celebrate the hard work of our amazing students!
