Every CAPS citizen is encouraged to be respectful, reliable, reflective, ethical, creative, collaborative, compassionate, analytical, a digital citizen, and a motivated learner. We want the whole CAPS community to live by these character traits and do our best to celebrate and recognize these pillars whenever possible.
Citizenship
Living our core values, each month we choose a different character trait to focus on in our classrooms and around the school. We then reward a student from each homeroom whom exemplifies that trait. Congratulations to all our Citizens of the Month and to the CAPS student body that has outstanding character!

Community Service
Here at CAPS, we believe in high quality education, but also that students are ultimately here to learn how to be exceptional citizens and give back to the community.
Our high school students are required to complete a minimum of 100 hours of community service during their time at CAPS.
Students volunteer in places such as local animal shelters, cleaning up our island, during school events, and around the school campus. We encourage members of the community to reach out to us if there are opportunities where our students can give back. In past years our CAPS community has helped the local Lion’s Club Bon Bisiña program make food packages for the less fortunate, started a recycling initiative at the school, donated student made artwork to the Saint Elisabeth Hospital, and collaborated with the FOL firefighters and their Toys for Tots program. Annually, CAPS participates in the islandwide “Clean up Curaçao” program, the Ronald McDonald House fundraiser, and reef clean-ups.
